We, the undersigned parents and community members, respectfully express our concern regarding the TJCA Board of Directors’ recent decision to discontinue Gryphon’s Kids Club at the conclusion of the upcoming summer program.
This decision appears to have been made abruptly and without meaningful input from the families directly impacted.
Gryphon’s Kids Club has consistently proven to be an invaluable resource for working families. Many parents rely on this program to ensure their children are in a safe, supportive, and structured environment after school. For some families, there are no comparable childcare options available that provide the same level of trust and community.
The staff of Gryphon’s Kids Club has been exceptional—consistently demonstrating kindness, encouragement, and dedication. They are not only caregivers but vital pillars of our community who contribute meaningfully to our children’s well-being and development.
Families chose TJCA because of its core values, mission, and commitment to community. The closure of this program does not reflect those principles and has been deeply concerning to many.
We respectfully urge the TJCA Principal and Board of Directors to reconsider this decision and engage with parents to explore solutions that preserve Gryphon’s Kids Club.
