KEEP MYCAP ALIVE
NO HEAP.....NO HEAT.....NO Insulation... NO Weatherization...NO WIC....NO Formula....NO Coupons.... NO Farmers Market NO Head Start NO Smart Start
The Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Partnership (MYCAP) provides anti-poverty assistance to low-income individuals through programs such as Head Start, Women Infants, and Children Program (WIC), Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), rural outreach programs, and senior centers. MYCAP also employs hundreds of hard working individuals in our community to administer these services.
The Mahoning Valley currently faces numerous social and economic challenges such as, high unemployment, a high poverty rate of 49%, possible closure of the Youngstown U.S. Postal Distribution Center, and an underperforming public city schools system.
MYCAP is a vital and irreplaceable resource for our community, and we urge for its continuation.
KEEP MYCAP ALIVE
Be it known on this Day, Jan. 30th 2012, that we the people have read the Youngstown Vindicator Editorial regarding the status of MYCAP, and the negative impact and possible loss of some or all of the much needed services in our community. MYCAP has helped many residents of this valley and its loss or possible cutbacks in these hard economic times would have a devastating impact throughout our community and the families we serve.
We therefore by the signing of this petition agree to stand up, speak out and be the positive and loud voice for MYCAP.

Why is this important?
The Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership has appealed to the U.S. Department of Agriculture to save the local program from bankruptcy and closing.
