Valencia County's Commissioners are considering a 20-week abortion ban that lets politicians make decisions for women—even those who have been victims of rape—that are best left between a woman, her doctor, and her faith if she chooses.
Though Valencia County doesn't even have clinics that provide these services, they still want to push this unnecessary law. Valencia County women and their doctors don't need politicians telling them how to make personal medical decisions.
Why is this important?
County Commissioner Lawrence Romero introduced a 20-week abortion ban to the county commission and in mid-December they could vote to pass it.
Even though the county does not have any clinics performing these services, politicians like Romero are pushing this law to let politicians tell women how to make personal medical decisions.
