Let massage therapist have a soft opening April 27, 2020

Allow licensed massage therapist to work privately with one client in a salon per stylist at a time starting April 27, 2020. All necessary precautions and sanitation to work safely. Our industry needs to be recognized and deemed as essential businesses so we can better serve our community.
The Camtc requires that all therapist perform services with the most high standard of sanitation. We are required to keep spa sanitized.
Each spa can implement the following to keep the curve flat, but also be able to keep our livelihood.

Masks on guest and operators
Wear gloves
Sanitize area before and after each client.
Sanitize front desk and each door handle every 30 minutes
No one allowed in spa sick if they have been sick in the last 2 weeks (cough, fever, etc)
Include checking temperatures

Servicing one client at a time while wearing masks and gloves poses little to no risk spreading the virus, as to compared to 20 people in a grocery store touching everything
And 10 plus people in a restaurant picking up food.

Why is this important?

The survival of independent massage therapist is at risk! We are facing grave financial hardship. It’s imperative that spas are reinstated. Most of this industry is self employed, in order to feed our families, pay our bills, and generally survive we need to work.
We are not given paid time off or insurance benefits.
