Let the dragons play

Please join me in petitioning the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) to honor their values and allow the student-athletes of the Taylor Allderdice High School boys’ soccer team to play in the spot they earned in the WPIAL Class 3A, Section 3 playoffs. The team’s record is 6-2-1. On Thursday, 10/3/2024, after the team had played 8 of its 12 WPIAL section games and was on track to make the playoffs, WPIAL announced that Allderdice was suddenly ineligible to be in the section they had placed us in due to a rule that had been written more than a year ago but had been ignored by WPIAL when they created the sections and schedule.
