In nyc it is not a requirement for buildings to have a fire escape this isn’t only a safety hazard ! After the unfortunate incident that happened in the Bronx January 9th killing 17 people and animals we need to stand up ! Had there been fire escapes maybe they would of gotten a better chance to get out
Why is this important?
17 people died the morning of January 9th 2022 ! If the city and landlords would fix issues as it’s brought to their attention tenants wouldn’t even feel the need to buy extra heat to provide warmth in there homes
