Light Rail Safety in Denver
On March 6th, 2013 I lost a son to an accident that took place at a light rail train location at 10th and Osage. My son fell asleep on a bench location between two light rail trains running side by side each other. Actually a person with long arms could literally reach a hand out and touch either of these trains from a sitting position on the bench provided by RTD for passengers to wait for their rife on their train.
These rail systems have no security measures. No guard rails, bars, steps, not anything to safe guard a passenger from such an accident that involved my son.
I am pleading with every parent, mother with child, sister, brother, father or friend that have love ones that ride these rail trains, to stand with me in my petitioning demand for a safety measure for these rail trains.
I have lost a son. His children have lost a father and his fiancée have lost a husband. A lot of people lives have been changed for the rest of our lives due to the negligence of safety means.
Please stand with me and my family by signing my petition for better security at their rail trains.
