It's gotten way too expensive to pay the rent in Metro Denver! And with a lot of landlords requiring an income of "3 times the rent", how is it possible for disabled, elderly, fixed-income, and low-income households to even secure a place to live in the first place? There are more and more homeless people here in Metro Denver now, and winter is coming. We need more help and housing for everyone on a fixed income and for everyone who is homeless. There is still a global pandemic going on, and Colorado is still dealing with Covid-19 and the Delta variant.
Why is this important?
Let's campaign for the human right of everyone having access to affordable and decent housing. With no more worries about ever-rising rents. Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) mentions the right to adequate standard of living. This includes not being made homeless due to out-of-control rents and greed.
Thank you for your time in reading this campaign for change. It can be done!
