"Make Love and not War"
As members of this international community, it’s our duty to protect individuals that are oppressed or marginalized by tyrannical governments, but at what at cost? Don’t give me that overused and hypocritical line about human rights and spreading democracy. If that was the case, we would have intervened in Darfur, Sudan, Rwanda and numerous other countries before the deaths of countless people. Before committing to another war, call or email your representative and ask them not to engage in another so called “intervention” until we get conclusive information that is not biased due to self interests. Call this number (202-224-3121) and it will direct you to your respective representative.
Before going to war, I have a few requests.
1. Politicians should be honest with us with regards to what’s really going on in Syria and stop using ambiguous statements. (This is not a political campaign but reality. Numerous lives are at stake)
2. The State should give us their intended goals for this military action and an exit strategy.
3. Stricter Gun regulations should be instated in the US and all rights that are guaranteed to us by the constitution, should be granted to everyone regardless of your sexual orientation. (If our mission in Syria and all the other countries, is to spread democracy, equality, and saving lives. We should take a look at ourselves first)
4. All elected politicians should give 10 minute press conferences supporting or opposing the military intervention in Syria and also a brief history of the country

Why is this important?
What did we achieve in Iraq? The deaths of our armed servicemen and women and innocent civilians. And leaving the country in a state of chaos. Are we going to let the same thing happen again? Let's stop regretting and analysising the last war and do something to stop the next one
