To: Governor Ron DeSantis, FL

Make Parents/Caretakers of the Medically Fragile Vaccine Eligible

Medically fragile children under the age of 16 are unable (at this point) to receive a vaccine. Some children between 16 and 18 are not eligible for the Moderna/Pfizer vaccine also (Johnson & Johnson eligibility age is 18).

We are asking Governor Ron DeSantis to honor his promise to protect not just the ADULTS who are medically vulnerable to COVID-19, but also the children who are medically vulnerable and cannot be vaccinated.

We are asking the Governor to allow parents and caretakers of medically fragile children under the age of 18 to be immediately eligible for vaccination (regardless of the age of the parent/caretaker) in order to reduce the risk of transmission to the children they care for.

Why is this important?

To protect those who are at the highest risk from severe complications or death from COVID-19.
