To: President Donald Trump, The United States House of Representatives, and The United States Senate
Make Peace Treaty in Korea Peninsular.
Make Peace Treaty in the “Korea Peninsula.”
We, the undersigned, request that you move to end the state of war with North Korea by turning the present Armistice Agreement to a Peace Treaty.
July 27,2013 will mark the 60th Anniversary of Armistice signed by America representing UN and North Korea that recommended a peace agreement be reached within 3 months after its signing.
The continuing armistice now prolongs the state of war and makes the separation of almost 10 million innocent family members a de facto permanent situation. It has forced a tremendous waste of human, natural and politico-economical resources to sustain the ongoing conflict of military power in the Korean peninsula and foments tension around the region.
“The 60 years of life” in Korean culture marks a full cycle of a blessed human life. We believe that time is right to make peace and to work to build a reunified nation as a responsible and contributing member of international community.
Furthermore, peace in the Korean Peninsula will help us not only radically reduce our national defense budget but also greatly contribute to the enhancement of the peace of the world. This is the opportune time for the States to honorably end the war and continue to be the beacon of hope to the peace of the world.

Why is this important?
I realized I am a victim and carrier of Korean War while I live in Brooklyn,NY. It is personal that I want to end this war and start making peace with my known enemy, North Korea. It has been 60 years since Korean War ended with Armistice. For Koreans 60 years is one honorable human life cycle. It is time to end the war and move to make peace.
