I am asking for your immediate energy, time, and serious inquiry to the Marine Corps Separation and Retirement Branch 2 to reconsider Ssgt. Dallas R. Elek's TERA request, so that his separation date (September 30, 2014) does not pass without his country being as faithful to him as he has been to it.
Why is this important?
My brother has served 19 years in the Marine Corps, including two active duty tours in Iraq. He sustained a physical injury during service and has been diagnosed with severe PTSD. He has less than 9 months until full retirement, and the Marine Corp has declared him unfit for further service and will separate him from service with a minimal cash severance and no veteran's benefits for him or his family on SEPTEMBER 30TH, 2014. Each of his petitions and requests to remain in service have been denied.
