Married less than ten years, should still be able to draw spouse's Socia Security

According to the Bible, I feel that laws need to be made for spouses to be able to draw deceased spouse's Social Security even if they were married for less than ten years.

Why is this important?

My spouse died in 2015 and neither one of us never married again after we divorced. I have a right to draw his Social Security according to the Bible. I feel like the law needs to be fixed!
