Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury for women in the United States. Everyday three women are killed by an abusive husband or boyfriend. It is imperative that you work to change these statistics by renewing the Violence Against Women Act. Furthermore, in order to protect all women, the renewed act must include added provisions to protect Native American women, immigrant women and LGBT people.
