Messages should have more lgbtq+ emojis
Dear Apple,
We as the LGBTQIA+ community would like more diverse emojis.
The only pride emojis that we have so far are the 🏳️🌈 LGBTQ+ flag, and the 🏳️⚧️ transgender flag. We need at least need the more well-known flags, such as the flags here:
Bisexual flag, pansexual flag, aroace flag, gay flag, lesbian flag, aromantic flag, and the asexual flag. More include the berrisexual flag, almondsexual, demisexual, omnisexual, and polysexual.
We also need the gender flags. Such as:
The transmasc and transfem flags, non-binary flag, gender-fluid flag, pangender flag, and bi-gender flag.
Also please do remember that these are just examples, not every flag.
The reason I have made this petition is because I find it unfair that there are so many flags in your library, yet only two pride flags. Most people have to resort to using the hearts as their flags, which means people do want to use them. Everywhere I have seen people complaining about how they want more flags to use while typing. Wouldn’t it be so cool to use all of your flags during pride month, and long after? We shouldn’t have to use hearts to convey what we want. Please allow us to express ourselves and offer more diversity to our conversations with family and friends. Thank you!
Why is this important?
Everyone should sign this because we can’t just continue to use other emojis to convey the thing we wish to convey that should have been made into an emoji a while ago. We should be able to click a button, and instantly get the pride flag we want, not search for the right colored hearts to make a flag. And if you sign this petition, we don’t have to wish for pride flags anymore. We can make it happen. So please, if you are an ally or queer yourself, do yourself a favor and sign this petition. Thank you for your contribution!
