Minnesota 's Criminalization Of Poor Home Owners
There are no laws in Minnesota that would allow county governments to prosecute municipalities for forcibly abusing poor homeowners! Abuse of vaguely written federal laws allows municipalities to discriminate and force poor homeowners to take on home improvement loans that poor citizens cannot afford to pay back!
Why is this important?
The Minnesota state legislature has sanctioned municipalities to criminalize poor homeowners for thirteen or more years! As a citizen born and raised in Minnesota, I have experienced twenty-five years of severe financial hardship brought about by discrimination and growing inequality in Minnesota! As a transgender woman, I was forced to live out my car for nearly four months and criminalized as a poor homeowner by the city of Eden Prairie for more than eleven years! My goal hear is to end this abuse in this state!
I need the support of my fellow citizens to fight this discrimination!
