Unite against Trump’s militarized occupation in Minnesota!
Thousands of militarized federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are terrorizing residents in Minnesota—outnumbering any single policy agency in the state—with Trump threatening “reckoning” and “retribution.” Already, ICE agents have murdered one person, Renee Good, and shot, injured, and assaulted countless others. They are ripping families apart, tear gassing students and educators, and using hospitals and schools as hunting grounds.
And now, Trump is threatening to invoke the Insurrection Act and turn the U.S. military against Minnesotans. Add your name to the petition NOW and demand an END to Trump's militarized occupation in Minnesota.
Why is this important?
Trump’s violent occupation in the Twin Cities is an escalation of what Trump has been executing in Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Portland. And it’s only getting worse.
Trump has been threatening to invoke the Insurrection Act—which would deploy the U.S. military and allow them to take civilian law enforcement actions like arresting, searching, or detaining citizens—since early on in his term. He is intentionally sowing chaos, disorder, and violence in order to manufacture a crisis and establish a military presence in our cities' streets and neighborhoods to intimidate us so he can continue with unchecked power.
Minnesota is the Trump administration’s testing ground to see how far he can abuse his power and authority against the American people. That is why we need every person—in Minnesota and across the country—to rise up in solidarity, resist, and drive out ICE and any other militarized force from our cities' streets.
The power is with the people. We need to demonstrate broad public opposition in order to pressure every elected official—on a local, state, and federal level—to use their power to end Trump’s militarized occupation.
We know what a future built by and for the people looks like. It’s what we’ve seen on the ground in communities facing the brunt of Trump’s terror. It’s people showing up for each other—making sure our kids get to school safely, our neighbors are fed and sheltered, and our rights and freedoms are protected.
And we’ve seen what Trump’s future looks like—people being dragged out of cars, snatched from schools and hospitals, and abused, injured, and even killed. Trump’s future is one of control, terror, and fear.
People in Minnesota and across the country are fighting for our collective future. And we have the responsibility to join them before Trump sends his troops to any other city, too. From neighbors and community leaders to elected officials, we must do everything in our power to fight back and STOP Trump’s militarized attacks from escalating.
