A Montgomery County Sheriff body-slammed an arrested woman head first into a concrete floor in the jail. The victim was knocked unconscious, suffered facial fractures, a bleed near her brain, and required hospitalization. Although the entire episode is on video and the excessive force is plainly visible, the Sheriff's Office is claiming the woman “vaulted herself off the wall" onto the floor. The Sheriff's Department found that excessive force was not used.
Why is this important?
The brutality of this Officer must not be condoned or permitted. The Sheriff's Department must hold this Officer accountable. The citizens of Montgomery County will not accept brutality by those sworn to serve and protect.
