Reverse the new California State Fire Prevention Fee (the tax desguised as a fee). It is unfair to citizens who already pay for their local fire department services.
Why is this important?
To put more money in the polititions hands, California State has imposed a new Fire Prevention Fee (NOT A TAX, THET SAY) upon habitable stuctures or parcels in what they call the responsibility areas. These fees (or really taxes) go up to $150.00 per year. I live in a 3 bedroom house and just paid $115.00 for this bogus tax. I am outraged. Jerry Brown approved this. I want to protest this effort to further strap the public for our government's failure to control their spending. I am calling upon our legislature to overturn this fee.
