If our Social Security benefits are going to be used as part of the "Grand Bargain," then we are saying that all those who vote for it, whether they are Democrats or Republicans, will be targeted in the upcoming elections to get them out of the office they now hold. Our Social Security benefits are not the cause of the debt, and neither is Medicare or Medicaid--and if you continue to call them Entitlements, then WE ARE ENTITLED TO BE RECEIVING THEM!
Why is this important?
If the Chained CPI is enacted, that will hurt all seniors on Social Security right now, and it will continue to hurt others just beginning their benefits. We have to stop President Obama from using our benefits as a bargaining tool--something he said he wouldn't do.
