No cuts to Social Security!
We elected you to advocate for us. Do NOT cave in to Republican demands to cut Social Security benefits and leave in place some of the Bush tax cuts for the top 2%.For many of us older adults, this would mean critical cuts to benefits that cover our medicine, food, and other daily necessities.We say NO to cuts in our social security!
Why is this important?
The President I have voted for and support is now considering cuts to Social Security as a concession to the Republicans. I am a single, divorced survior of domestic violence who raised a child with-out the benefits of child support while working as a public servant. I deserve to have the social security benfits that I have worked for all my life. Aging adults such as myself should not be forced to take a cut in Social Security when we are not the ones that created the huge deficit. We should not be used a political pawns.
