To President Obama, Sen. Harry Reid, and all members of Congress: We, the undersigned, oppose any debt/fiscal cliff deal that includes cuts to the poor, the elderly, or the disabled. Take Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid off the table and raise taxes on the top 2%.
Why is this important?
Proposed cuts to Social Security would be devastating to those among us who can least afford it. Tell Harry Reid and the Democrats in Congress that it is unacceptable to allow cuts to Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid as part of any debt/budget negotiations.
