No More Anti-Abortion Propaganda at TAMU

Anti-choice propaganda is all too common on the TAMU campus. Women already have zero options to obtain an abortion in #BrazosCounty since the only Planned Parenthood was eliminated in 2013. So not only are these graphic images triggering for students trying to focus on their studies--they are irrelevant in an already aggressively anti-choice county.

Such images deliberately mis-characterize abortion by focusing on late-term abortions, even though, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 1.3 percent of abortions are performed at or greater than 21 weeks of gestation (and lack of access is often the reason for such a delay). Tell President Michael K. Young that we deserve to go to class in peace without someone judgmentally shrieking at us next to graphic images designed to shame women into forfeiting control of their own bodies.

Why is this important?
