Why is this important?

For me, I've noticed, since about season two when Hook came on as a character, they've been promoting Hook this Hook that and slowly forgetting about everyone else. They were never ones to promote for my personal favorite character Neal, and I felt like less of a fan and person because they paid so much attention to Hook instead. This should never happen to anyone else.
