Why is this important?
RFK Campus (190 acres) is undergoing redevelopment and RFK Stadium will be demolished. The Washington Redskins have not played there for over 20 years and their field is now in Landover, MD. We would like to see a multi-use campus with local playing fields, pedestrian bridges, affordable housing, retail shops, a 20,000 seat arena, an RFK Democracy Center, a library, and other amenities favorable to local residents and visitors alike.
