Tell your elected Representative and the President: Hands off Social Security.
Why is this important?
I am a writer, living in Los Angeles but originally from Chicago. I am a Vietnam combat veteran and winner of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Today, I survive on a Social Security payment and a 100 percent disability pension from the VA. I have an Agent-Orange connected cancer and am undergoing tests to determine if I have a pituitary tumor.
Social Security is self-funded and has no effect on the national deficit. Congress should not rob seniors and the disabled. They should eliminate tax breaks for millionaires instead.
