Article One, Section Eight of the U.S. Constitution states that Congress shall have the power to declare war. The signatories of this petition demand that no war be launched against Iran without a full congressional debate preceding it, as well as a roll-call vote on a formal declaration of war.
Why is this important?
I started this petition because I don't want to see my country divided by yet another undeclared war, nor do I want to see the world plunged into a needless war.
