Reduce the carbon dioxide emitted by vehicles, by creating more ways for citizens to have access to public transportation.
Why is this important?
As a part of the Lexus EcoChallenge, our group is trying to solve problems of Global Warming. This includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, mainly carbon dioxide. Transportation accounts for about 31% of total U.S. CO2 emissions and 26% of total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions in 2011. Greater access to public transportation, will reduce the amount of cars on the road reducing CO2 emissions.
