Open full-time in-person instruction for K-12 students on January 11th, 2021

We strongly request the WJCC School Board provide the option of full-time in-person instruction for K-12 students starting January 11th while also allowing those who would like to continue virtual learning transfer to the WJCC Virtual Academy.

Why is this important?

The devastating impact "virtual learning" has had on some students and parents alike can no longer be ignored and it is time for the WJCC School Board to address these concerns. Many schools in Virginia and around the Country have remained open while following CDC guidelines and it is time for WJCC schools to follow suit. Please use the holiday break to allow parents to transfer their children to the WJCC Virtual Academy if they do not feel safe returning their children to in-person learning for the remainder of the school year. This time can also be using to finalize CDC recommended safety measures so that children can return to in-person learning full-time on the 11th of January if parents so choose. Closing schools should not be an option.
