Open Maryland Public Lands to horseback riding

Lift the ban on horseback riding on Maryland Public Land. It is unfair to exclude equestrians, but allow hikers, bikers, and other user groups to recreate of those lands.

Supposedly, the argument is that horseback riding may lead to accident and injury that might require hospital care. Therefore it is deemed to place a burden on a stressed system.

Bikers and hikers also risk injury. The argument is specious.

Why is this important?

The humans need the outlet. Fresh air and exercise are known to strengthen the immune system.

The animals need the exercise. Like any athlete, they need to maintain a regime.
