Oppressive visa application fees
U.S Embassies are assessing oppressive fees for visa applicants. If an applicant is denied or approved, the fee is the same which approximately $150.00. Basically there is no incentive to approve an applicant. It is requested that application processing fee be reduced to $10.00 and the approved fee be increased moderately. Apparently the employees working in this branch of government are being paid too much at the expense of the masses who earn so little. In short, to cost of operating this branch of homeland security is out of control.
People in third world countries often times have to work for two or three years to accumulate enough money just to "apply" for a visa to the United States. Far too many of these applicants are denied for little or no reason with no obligation to explanation why.
I have written to my U.S. Senator Mr. Coon's and spoke by phone with his administrative aid "Jill Marta" so as to bring this matter to her attention. When all was said and done our U.S. Embassy's abroad have unquestionable authority to approve or deny an applicant for any reason or no reason at all with no obligation to explain why. They are profiteering on the back of the poorest of the poor who just want to come and visit this great country of ours and return home as agreed.
After signing this petition, I urge everyone who is concerned about this issue to email and call you congressperson and U.S. senator.
You may also email U.S. Senator Coons via his administrative assistant "Jill Marta" at: [email protected]
