Oregon, Welcome Syrian Refugees Now!

We insist that Governor Kate Brown make a clear and firm statement of support for Syrian refugees and welcome as many refugees as possible into Oregon immediately.

Why is this important?

In light of the xenophobia around the country in response to the Syrian refugee crisis, Oregon should be a model of an enlightened state that does not give into waves of bigotry. Instead of responding with "no comment," Governor Kate Brown should unambiguously stand up for what is morally right and welcome victims of the war in Syria into our state, as Oregon has done for refugees from all over the globe for decades.
