To address and get rid of the harassment and discriminatory conditions that are being enforced by management, and to allow for better working conditions for all Peapod employees.
Why is this important?
I am currently a shopper for Peapod and not only have i experienced discriminatory behavior i have also witnessed it numerous of times. everyone should be concerned about this issue because the working conditions of Peapod in New Hyde Park is inhumane and the way that the workers are treated is terrible and unjust.
The morale has left our store. People are not happy to come to work. We feel our voice is not important and our management has failed in the eyes of majority of the Peapod employees. Therefore we ask for help on a corporate level to help us improve the perception of Stop and shop/Peapod values on the employee level. Some of the issues are: Abuse of scheduling,Overlooking known issues and concerns,
Unprofessional actions towards employees (***open conversations in front of other coworkers pertaining to confidential information **), and racist attitudes towards the minorities.
