All Police Officers should have the same ability and training as Hostage and Crisis Negotiators. They should be using their voices as their first tool in this manner De-escalating a situation Not Escalating it as we so often see. This should be mandatory.
Why is this important?
Police shootings', Police Brutality, I have seen police officers use their voices to intimidate people, to taunt people, to threaten people. This only serves to escalate any situation. It also causes a disdain for the law instead of respect. I have witnessed this first hand. Isn't part of enforcing the law keeping the peace?
