Almost every Democrat in Congress has co-sponsoring this historic legislation. But your Representative, Katie Porter, has not spoken up.
Why is this important?
Because The Dream and Promise Act, HR 6, is the most expansive bill introduced to protect immigrants. As an immigrant myself, I know first-hand what a bill like HR 6 would mean to good, hardworking immigrants, that are like myself: A friend, a co-worker, a high-school teammate, a college student, a mom, a daughter, a sister, PTA member, a church volunteer, valuable human being . It will provide status to 2 million immigrants under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Temporary Protected Status (TPS), and Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) - all programs that require incredible national security scrutiny to qualify to be a part of them, yet were cruelly terminated by Trump. 86% of ALL Americans in all political parties want Dreamers to stay, and our POTUS is not listening to his constituents. Our Rep. Katie Porter needs to listen too. It is time to make our voice heard - we matter too!
