State-owned property for transitional housing for homeless veterans.
Why is this important?
Petition For Use Of A State Property: MJ Enterprises of Brevard Co., Inc.. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that is dedicated to opening transitional housing for homeless veterans. We have found a facility that is owned by the state of Florida that was a halfway house for juvenile females up until 2016 located at 5332 Riveredge Drive Titusville Fl. We have contacted the state juvenile department and inquired about leasing the property to use for our housing. They have no immediate or future plans for the property and have told us that they would “contact us if things changed.” This was 1 year ago, and we have not heard from them since. The property is still vacant, and we need your help in attempting to get their attention. This property would be ideal for our needs; everything we need is already there, (dormitories, admin building, rec room, kitchen, etc.) All we would need to do is move in staff, stock the kitchen and hire staff.
