I believe that the agreement with Iran will eventually promote better relations between our two countries. However, the most important reason for supporting the agreement is that it will immediately lessen the chances for war and will prevent further development of atomic weopons by Iran for at least the near future.
Why is this important?
I have a daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren who reside in Israel. I also have a strong attachment to that land because of my Jewish heritage. I believe that this agreement will further promote peace in that region, even though it does not assure peace because of so many other factors at play. I can only hope that this agreement will spur the further action by the U.N. and world powers to bring about a fair and just peace between Israel and the Palestinians. Thank you.
