Preserve Honeydew Creek's Community Park
"I support the Honeydew Community's desire to preserve access to
Honeydew Creek Day Use area, known for decades as the Honeydew Creek BLM Campground. I feel that it is premature of the BLM management to move forward with their plans for 'downsizing' the area without fully evaluating the community's love of and dependence upon the area for every manner of social gathering, and without fully evaluating the community's willingness to form a collaborative partnership with the BLM. I urge the BLM to meet with the stakeholders and to strive for an equitable resolution to the uncertainty of the future of our community gathering place. "

Why is this important?
This petition addresses the desirability of preserving the functionality to the fullest degree of the Honeydew Creek BLM Campground. The quality of life of all residents of the lower Mattole Valley and the desirability of the King Range as a destination eco-tourism attraction to hundreds of others are jeopardized by plans to downsize the facility.
