Why is this important?
Juyeon Rhee is the coordinator for the Stop THAAD in Korea (STIK) peace delegation visiting South Korea hosted by the National People’s Action to Stop the Deployment of THAAD in South Korea (NPA). An entry ban was imposed by South Korean officials on Juyeon Rhee at LaGuardia Airport preventing her from boarding her Delta flight to Incheon.
South Korean authorities' action to prevent Juyeon Rhee from entering South Korea is deeply disappointing in light of President Moon Jae-in's pledges to seek peaceful and negotiated resolutions to longstanding conflicts and to recommit South Korea to open dialogue and respect for democratic processes. Juyeon Rhee has demonstrated a life-long commitment to the desire of all Koreans for a peaceful resolution to decades of conflict.
Urge President Moon Jae-in to immediately lift the travel ban imposed on Juyeon Rhee by signing our petition.
