Democracy depends on transparency. The American people deserve to know how its elected officials earn their money. Presidents should not be exempt from supplying this information. Congress must pass a law requiring all presidential candidates to show us their taxes!
Why is this important?
Candidates running for president are not required to reveal their taxes the way other elected officials must do. Therefore, Congress must change that because it's obvious from the recent presidential election that we cannot depend on the ethics of the person elected to do the right thing.
