Prevent a new war on the Korean peninsula

We are frightened by the prospect of another war on the Korean peninsula, which may mean nuclear war.

If parents and children are to have a future, we must prevent this.

We call upon President Barack Obama to stop the military exercises, the sanctions, threats and other provocative actions and immediately to begin direct negotiations to create, finally, a comprehensive peace treaty.

Why is this important?

The threats of war on the Korean peninsula must not turn into a fighting war. The danger is terrifying.

Petition created by the Americas Regional Conference of the World Peace Council held at Moca, Dominican Republic, 2013 April 8-9.
