PPLC's give classroom teachers, and direct service providers, a voice in schools. Bowen's principal directed two Assistant Principals to join the PPLC. Tell Ms. Sims to respect teacher voice and the practices of every other school in the district. Tell her "no AP's on the PPLC."
Why is this important?
This is a threat to PPLC's at every school in Chicago. Teachers need to feel free to create their own initiatives to make the school better. Principal Sims needs to know that educators, parents and community across the city object to her actions.
