Governor Browns legislation that is set to go into effect Jan 2015, which is packaged as providing over time for IHSS Providers, but will in fact drastically cut our hours and therefore quality of care.
Why is this important?
As the legislation is written, IHSS Care Providers will not be allowed to work more than 40 hours per week. At the limited wages currently, quality of care will be effected, requiring outside providers to fill the gap. Very often there is no qualified outside help. If we go over the hours we will be penalized.
