Protect Indigenous People in the United States
With the supreme court overturning Oklahoma v Castro-Huerta and looking to overturn the Indian Child Welfare Act in October 2022; We need president Biden to take IMMEDIATE action to codify tribal sovereignty. It is time to do right by our indigenous brothers and sisters.
According to Article 4 of the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People "Indigenous peoples, in exercising their right to
self-determination, have the right to autonomy or
self-government in matters relating to their internal and local affairs, as well as ways and means for
financing their autonomous functions."
Article 7 Section 2 States:
"Indigenous peoples have the collective right to
live in freedom, peace and security as distinct
peoples and shall not be subjected to any act of
genocide or any other act of violence, including
forcibly removing children of the group to another group."
We the people have had enough.

Why is this important?
The United States has a history of stripping rights, land, and children away from Indigenous Peoples. It's time for the people of the United States to do what is right and to say "No More!" It's time to protect our Indigenous communities the way we also want to be protected.
