We need to demand that Congress protect mifepristone and stop the dangerous spread of misinformation.
Why is this important?
Donald Trump claimed he wanted to leave abortion “to the states” after he worked to overturn Roe v. Wade. But his administration has endlessly attacked reproductive health care by eliminating funds for birth control, Planned Parenthood health centers, and more.4 This FDA investigation is just the beginning of their next effort to restrict our access to abortion.
Any restrictions to mifepristone would cause further harm to communities already impacted by abortion bans! Black women, people of color, and low-income communities would feel the impact the most. If more barriers are put into place to restrict access to abortion pills, this would lead to patients traveling hundreds of miles and even across state lines to their nearest abortion provider.
Protect abortion access! Stop the spread of misinformation and let Americans receive the health care they need.
