Public Broadbrand
In the wake of the recent decision by the Federal Communications Commission to change and remove Net Neutrality guidelines established under former President Barrack Obama, the City of Mesa should be looking to establish its own public broad brand that will give many people access to the internet. Net Neutrality keeps the internet open with no fast or slow lanes who could pay the higher prices instituted by ISPs. Mesa should be looking to institute public internet not only for Downtown Mesa but for the entire city.
Why is this important?
I am starting this petition because of the recent decision by the FCC to end Net Neutrality guidelines that keep the internet open and not subject it to fast or slow lanes. In the wake of the decision made by Ajit Pai it has led to the dismantling of the open and free internet and it should be in the best interest of the public to institute its own public broad brand with Net Neutrality guidelines enshrined within the proposal.
