Whatever the reason for the US bombing of the MSF hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan last week, the US should send not just condolences but money. It would take just a tiny percentage of what the US military spends in Afghanistan to rebuild and restaff this vital health facility. .
Why is this important?
The fact that the US military could continue to bomb the hospital even after MSF staff informed them it was happening makes the US responsible. It's high time US taxpayers held the military to account for its reckless and in this case disastrous actions.
