Remove Ana Cortez, current city council, the mayor and vice mayor

Time to remove Ana Cortez and the city council that hired her and has been complicit in the mismanagement of city funds, this includes our current mayor and vice mayor.
We must remove the entire rotten tree and plant a new one. We the people demand an immediate change.
Ana Cortez, after moving from city to city, she’s now cutting jobs in Hollister while making $265,000 a year

Follow her history.

• Helena, Montana (2020): Faced employee complaints alleging harassment and age discrimination. An investigation cleared her of policy violations but found her management style created divisions with staff. She was reportedly placed on administrative leave twice and ultimately left with a separation package of approximately $164,000.

• Carnation, Washington (2024): Four city employees lost their jobs during restructuring. An arbitrator ordered their reinstatement with full back pay. Cortez resigned months later, reportedly receiving a $120,000 separation package.

• Hollister, California (2026): Three former city employees filed complaints alleging retaliation, intimidation, and a hostile work environment.

• Hollister (July 2026): A former employee filed a lawsuit naming Cortez and the city, alleging wrongful termination and retaliation. These allegations have not been proven in court.

These are documented complaints, investigations, and employment disputes—not proof that every allegation is true. But shouldn’t taxpayers and our City Council be asking some serious questions about this history?

Before eliminating the jobs of these hardworking women, maybe taxpayers should also be asking how much City Council members are being paid and what other expenses could be reduced before cutting essential city staff!

Why is this important?

Our city government positions have been taken advantage of and people like her need to go. We must remove every person responsible for the mismanagement of our beautiful beloved city.
