Mr. President and members of Congress, if our nation truly supports the self determination of the people of the world, truly supports the democartic process and truly supports the peace process of the Middle East then we need to support the newly recognized state of Palestine according to the articles and statements of the UN in regards to the same.
Mr. President and members of Congress, please, formally recognize Palestine as an independent nation and tell Israel to abide by the term of the UN recognition of Palestine.
Let's stop destablizing the Middle East and work towards the welfare and well being of all of the nations in that region.

Why is this important?
The newly internationally recognized state of Palestine should be both recognized and supported as the free self determination of a people as part of the ongoing peace process in the Middle East.
We ask President Obama to formally recognize Palestine and to offer them economic and other supports equal to that which we give to their neighboring states so as to promote economic development, stablize the region and promote democracy and justice.
