Redbird Nostalgia Train for Knicks Finals!
Without a doubt in my mind, I believe that the fans of the New York Knicks deserve a wonderful chariot dedicated to their long awaited 27 year journey back to the Finals.
What other way to honor them is for the MTA to launch a Nostalgia Train, The R33 ‘Redbird’ !
We’ve seen these trains come into service for season openers for the Yankees & The Mets; why not the Knicks!!?
Their first Home Finals game will be Game 3 on Monday, June 8th.
Let’s give New York & its vast citizens a celebration they deserve.
Potential Routes:
UPTOWN to MSG:
(1) - 242nd MSG
(2) - 241st to MSG
(3) 148th to MSG
——
Brooklyn to MSG:
Brooklyn to MSG:
(2) - Barclays to MSG
(3) - Barclays to MSG
Why is this important?
The MTA posted up a flashback during the 1999 finals where they compare & contrasted the city differences in 27 years. They mentioned that the Redbirds were still in service. Why not put them back in service for such a joyous occasion?
